Prevent Electric Shock Drowning. Protect Your Family.

Steer clear of hidden dock dangers with ShockIQ

Electric Shock Drowning (ESD) happens when an electric current, typically AC-current from boats, docks, or lights, escapes and enters through the body with sufficient force to cause paralysis. ESD can be deadly, but is completely preventable with ShockIQ Mobile.

We believe no one should have to live in fear while enjoying the water around their docks. But the other dock protection solutions are either extremely expensive, difficult to install, or both. That's why we invented and patented ShockIQ.

FAQs

What does it mean if the siren keeps sounding?

If the siren sounds continuously, ShockIQ is still detecting electricity in the water. This could be coming from another source other than your dock. Please stay out of the water and call your electrician to report this condition.

What is Electric Shock Drowning?

ESD occurs when a person in the water comes in contact with a stray electric current path which causes paralysis, resulting in the victim drowning.

How many volts does it take to cause Electric Shock Drowning?

Even the smallest amounts of a leaking alternating current can kill. As little as 10 milliamps (1/50th the current used by a 60 watt light bulb) can cause paralysis and drowning. Sixty (60) milliamps in the body can cause heart failure.
